But occasionally you will encounter challenges, for example poor line-shape, inability to adequately lock or shim, artifacts from too much signal, truncation wiggles, etc. In these cases it is quite useful to do some of these steps manually, inspect a trial (1 or 2 scan) spectrum before continuing with your study.
